You be the judge. We’ll just show you the differences between Napa Valley cable rails and our Wedge Lock 3000.
Ahh…Napa Valley. The convergence of the right soils, climate, elevation, and skills of the grape grower and winemaker – no wonder its one of the most revered wine appellations in North America. And just like a fine wine, your expectations for a deck railing should be high. Something modern and durable. And that’s exactly what you get with our product – our rails are just plain better than the risky (and often ugly) Napa Valley cable rails. Cable rails have been the standard for a wide variety of railing needs, but the fact is – our deck railing has fewer and smaller posts, fewer horizontals, floating corners and NO visible fasteners, it is just as easy to install as a cable rail yet with less maintenance over time. There are no cables to re-tighten or replace later on. With our Patent Pending Wedge Lock 3000 – you get a railing system that is designed for people who want something for the long-run. Our horizontals aren’t under tension, and that gives us the flexibility to use materials that won’t rust all over your deck. Another benefit of tension-less horizontals is there’s no risk of bowed ends (causing unsightly unevenness). Any way you look at it, our deck rail system offers advantages over cable rails.

The Wedge Lock 3000 is the clear winner. Raise your wine glass and toast to our champion deck rail system.
By now, it should be pretty obvious why our product merits your consideration. Cables lose tension, sag, and break over time. On the other hand, our Wedge Lock 3000 has rods that will never droop or sag. Years after your installation, they’ll look exactly as they did when they were new. Floating corners enhance the view rather than obscuring it with cables (just look at the picture on the right). In addition – why would you buy a railing system which exposes its fasteners and screws? That’s simply unattractive. The WL3000 has no visible fasteners or obtrusive screws on the end posts. And, for clients who need something a bit different – perhaps a guard rail with glass, or a handrail – we can do that too. One thing we love to mention is that our system does NOT require any onsite welding. Simple hand tools is all you need for installation, so it’s perfect for the handy do-it-yourselfer or carpenter. So say goodbye to traditional cable railing systems, and get in touch for a superior Napa Valley deck railing product.
Yep, we’re also GREEN! A more eco-friendly alternative to Napa Valley cable rails.
Sustainability and the environment is important to us (and it might be important to you too). That’s why the Wedgelock 3000 system has environmental advantages over typical railing systems. Our railing posts and caps come standard in aluminum, which is highly recycled/recyclable. Though the recycled content is constantly changing by the specific alloy of our extrusions we order, we typically are running about 25% recycled content in aluminum. Because we use aluminum which is much lighter than steel, but still meets all railing codes, there is less environmental impact in shipping. And, after the very long and useful life span of our products, they are 100% recyclable. The stainless rods and components we us all come from suppliers who are a part of the Specialty Steel Industry of North America Association (SSINA).
