Our deck rails are Green!
The Wedgelock 3000 system offers several environmental advantages over typical railing systems. Our railing posts and caps come standard in aluminum, which is highly recycled/recyclable. Though the recycled content is constantly changing by the specific alloy of our extrusions we order, we typically are running about 25% recycled content in aluminum. Because we use aluminum which is much lighter than steel, but still meets all railing codes, there is less environmental impact in shipping. And, after the very long and useful life span of our products, they are 100% recyclable. The stainless rods and components we us all come from suppliers who are a part of the Specialty Steel Industry of North America Association (SSINA).
