Our Handrail Fabrication Solution
Our wood handrails are milled down to meet code and can be stained to match flooring. We also offer square and round handrails in anodized aluminum, stainless steel, bronze, and cold rolled steel. Whichever handrail you choose, we have a variety of metal handrail brackets to match.
Every stair with 3 treads or more require a handrail and meeting code requirements for a graspable handrail and how much it can encroach into the stair can be confusing. Let us help you decide which handrail is best for your application.
The Ferrari Store (Honolulu, HI)
The Ferrari Store in Honolulu needed ADA compliant stainless steel railing brackets. At the time, we were the only company manufacturing ADA compliant handrail brackets, which is something to consider for any project.
Anodized Aluminum Handrails
This rail features 1”x 2” anodized aluminum handrails and square aluminum handrail brackets. The client chose anodized aluminum because of its rust-free characteristics. Also shown is the “comb rail”, a custom vertical guardrail that is also anodized aluminum.
Pet Food Express (Campbell, CA)
Pet Food Express needed an ADA compliant two line ramp railing with kick plates at the bottom. This clear anodized aluminum handrail acts as a guide with the kick plate at the bottom and a graspable handrail at 36″, which is fully compliant with the ADA standards. The handrail profile is 1-1/2″ round and is mandrel bent to avoid kinks in the elbows.
Steel on Glass
This rail is a glass mounted wood handrail with stainless steel brackets. The wood profile is 1-1/4″ x 1-3/4″ and stained to match the floor. The railing transitions from a wall mounted handrail to a glass mounted handrail at the top of the stairs. The glass guardrail is set in an aluminum base shoe and the glass is 1/2″ thick clear tempered. This railing system is fully mechanical with a high level of precision to line up with the holes in the glass.
Aluminum Brackets
This job features a wood handrail with aluminum brackets. These brackets were designed for a variety of applications – they can be adjusted level, or rotated to any angle to match a sloped handrail.
Gate Fabrication
Gates were a natural step for us as customers need gates that match the railings on their property. In our experience, heavy steel gates cause stress on the hinges and inevitably begin to rust. This is why we make our gates out of aluminum. For swimming pool applications, we have fabricated and installed gates with card readers and electronic strikes, as well as push button key combinations, self-closing hinges, and pivots.
Mill Valley Flat Bar Gate
This 20 foot long driveway gate was custom designed with clear Plexiglass for safety and powder coated black to match the railings. A lockable pedestrian gate was installed at the other end of the property.
Wedge Lock 3000 Gate
This gate was designed and fabricated with the same stainless steel rods and a frame matched to railing posts, a great addition to a Wedge Lock 3000 railing.
Anodized Aluminum
This project consisted of an anodized aluminum front entry gate with horizontal slats. The gate is flanked by stucco walls with a keyed door handle and an automatic self-closing floor closer with a custom pivot at the top of the door.
Sanders
Five separate aluminum and wood gates around this property were powder coated in a color similar to oil rubbed bronze. The gate at the front entry created a small and private front courtyard and was installed with a card reader and electronic strike. Also, the driveway gate features a “gravity” latch which automatically latches when the door is closed with a fully integrated cane bolt.
Orinda, CA
This project featured an automatic driveway and pedestrian gate, security camera and 2 keypad pedestals. All of these were powder coated silver and incorporated stainless hardware and pivots.
Lombard Pool Gate
This glass and powder coated aluminum fence and gate were designed for simplicity. Although not suitable for a guardrail, it’s a great option for fences and privacy screens.
Aeneas Gate
The Aeneas gate was an ornate style and fabricated from aluminum to be lightweight and rust-free. The color was powder coated to match the trim of the house. A “Mighty Mule” gate opener allowed for both keypad and remote entry. Offset aluminum barrel hinges and corner gussets were used to control sag.
