Our Exclusive Flat Bar Railing System
Traditionally, flat bar railings are only offered in steel, which will rust, or in stainless steel, which is prohibitively expensive. Both of those options require onsite welding, whereas our aluminum flat bar railing system is a 100 percent component railing system — meaning no onsite fabrication or welding. The railing is factory assembled with hidden stainless steel fasteners and shipped in panels to the job site. The aluminum flat bar comes in any powdercoated color or anodized aluminum finish you desire.
This railing matched the long horizontal lines of the house, featuring floating corners and a clear anodized finish. The deck railings and stair railing are all top mounted.
The aluminum flat bar railing was used throughout the property, including a locking gate, railings, fence, and 20 ft long driveway gate. The black powdercoated finish was chosen to match the other metal detailing on the house.
The Setty project actually features our glass lock railing on the interior in stainless and our aluminum flat bar in clear anodized on three exterior decks. The decks were all waterproofed and tiled, so we installed waterproof stanchions and dropped the railing into place at the end of construction. Because the decks were waterproofed, they were also sloped for drainage, which we accommodated for by adjusting the height of each post to insure a level finished product.
The Stein project used black powdercoated components and was installed in various locations around their property. We were able to install this railing in a variety of conditions. Outside the master bedroom we have a short railing installed on top of a parapet wall. This condition had waterproof stanchions that went in early in construction. The full-height railing was side-mounted off of the kitchen patio.
The Booker project highlights our portfolio in many different ways: it included guardrails, handrails, and a gate. Everything was clear anodized aluminum and the style is slightly different on the front and back of the property. One of the requirements of this project was designing the gate and railing system to be visually similar, as well as color matching our additions to the other finishes on the property.
For this project, we collaborated with the owners on adapting our aluminum flat bar railing to include an integrated awning. A lot of work went into the details on this one. The railing is dark bronze anodized aluminum to match the windows and doors. Above the awning, there is a small deck with matching railing. Side mounting the railing made it possible to install this system in the final stages of construction.
For this project, we top mounted our aluminum flat bar railing over stanchions. The railing is clear anodized aluminum to match the windows and doors. We stood the railing up at the shop before installation to check all the dimensions against our field dimensions. When everything looked good, we packed it up for the jobsite.
